The Process

Every unforgettable portrait begins with connection.

Our process starts with a relaxed, no-pressure phone conversation where we get to know each other. We’ll talk through your ideas, your vision for the artwork, and — most importantly — your pet’s personality. Are they playful and full of energy? Quiet and soulful? A little bit mischievous? This conversation allows me to understand what makes your furry family member them, so your session feels intentional and deeply personal from the very start.

If you decide to move forward, a non-refundable session fee of $195 officially reserves your date on my calendar. This secures your custom experience, planning time, and creative preparation. During your image reveal, a $50 credit will be applied toward any package purchase — my way of helping you begin building artwork you’ll treasure for years to come.

From the first phone call, my goal is simple: to make you feel heard, understood, and completely confident that your pet’s story is being captured with heart.

1. A Conversation

Next comes the photo session itself. We’ll meet at our chosen location and simply let the magic unfold.

Your pet leads the way during this time — there’s no rushing and no forcing moments. Some pets want to explore right away, others need a few quiet minutes to settle in. We move at their pace so the experience feels calm, comfortable, and enjoyable for everyone involved.

My priority is keeping things relaxed and fun. When pets feel safe and unpressured, their true personality naturally shines through — whether that’s playful, gentle, curious, or completely goofy. Those authentic moments are what create the most meaningful images.

This is about capturing your pet exactly as they are — the expressions you love, the way they look at you, the little details that make them yours.

2. The Photography Session

Then comes one of the most special parts of the experience — your viewing session.

We’ll meet at my space in Ballston Spa for your image reveal and product selection. This is the very first time you’ll see your finished images, thoughtfully edited and prepared. It’s a relaxed, unhurried time set aside just for you to take it all in.

Together, we’ll go through your gallery and select the artwork that feels right for your home and your heart. I’ll guide you through options that complement your space and fit comfortably within your budget, whether that’s statement wall art, framed pieces, or keepsake collections. My goal is to help you turn your favorite moments into lasting memories of your best friend — artwork you’ll smile at every single day.

As a reminder, your $50 credit will be applied toward the purchase of any package during your reveal session.

3. The Image Reveal

Finally, your artwork is delivered.

Before anything leaves my hands, each piece goes through a careful quality check to ensure every detail is exactly as it should be — from color and clarity to framing and finish. Your pet’s portraits deserve nothing less than perfection.

Once everything is ready, your finished artwork is delivered to you, ready to be displayed, gifted, and enjoyed for years to come. Whether it’s a statement piece hanging proudly on your wall or a beautifully matted print resting on your desk or shelf, these images are meant to be lived with — gentle daily reminders of the love, companionship, and joy your best friend brings into your life.

This is the final step in the process — but the beginning of years of smiling every time you walk by their portrait.
