    A Conversation

    Our process begins with a simple phone conversation. We’ll talk through your ideas, your vision, and - most importantly- your pet’s personality. This helps me understand what you want to capture and ensures your session is thoughtfully planned from the very start.

    The Photo Session

    Next comes the photo session itself. We’ll meet at our chosen location and let the magic unfold. Your pet leads the way during this time - there’s no rushing or forcing moments. My priority is keeping everyone relaxed and having fun, so your pet’s true personality naturally shines through in every image.

    The Viewing Session

    Then comes your viewing session. We’ll meet at my space in Ballston Spa, where you’ll see your finished images for the very fist time. Together, we’ll select artwork that complements your home, fits your budget, and turns your favorite moments into lasting memories of your best friend.

    Delivery

    Finally, your artwork is delivered. After a thorough quality check to ensure every detail is perfect, your finished pieces are delivered to you - ready to be enjoyed for years to come.

FAQs

  • Absolutely!! Safety of everyone involved is our top priority. Leashes and collars can be made to disappear through various techniques both during the photo shoot and in post editing.

  • Realistically speaking, the portrait session and collections available have a great deal of value packed inside them. Past clients have never said or suggested what Melanie offers is overpriced. In fact, most come back time and time again for more photographs!

    Our Portrait Collections, including investment values, can be seen on the Sessions page. Full product guides can be requested prior to booking and most clients tend to invest between $560 and $1500 on their photographic session and artwork afterwards.

  • Absolutely! There is no reason why images captured at your portrait session cannot be entered into, and win, photographic awards.

  • Melanie has a small studio available for portrait session. This is located in Ballston Spa, NY.

    For our equine friends, the situation is different. Usually, Melanie will travel to you unless you do not have an indoor arena, dark barn or similar on site.
